BGMI Esports is getting bigger, and new events are constantly being announced. This time, Krafton joins the race by putting on another exciting tournament, the BGMI Showdown 2022, right after Godwin’s BGMI Masters Series ends. It will happen from July 21 to July 24 and will be the first official LAN-line event that Krafton has put on.
The news got out when the officials made an official announcement and posted a video on their social media accounts. It said the event would last four days and the prize pool would be worth Rs 15 lakhs. But Krafton hasn’t said where the event will be or which Teams will be there. Several sources said that the LAN will be in Delhi, where BGMS was held, and that the best teams from BGIS 2021 and BGMS will compete against each other at the following official event.

Like they always said, the BGMI Showdown will take place from July 21 to July 24. Twenty-four invited teams will compete for Rs 15 lakhs. In the official statement, it said:
“You Said It, We Listened! BGMI is putting on the FIRST EVER BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Official LAN. BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SHOWDOWN will test the 24 squads that are ready to face the heat. #BMSD2022 has a MASSIVE INR 15 Lakhs Prize Pool and four days of nail-biting action that will keep you as eager and anxious as possible. And also the show starts on July 21.”

After a year since the game came out in the country, this is the first official LAN. Godwin Gaming had already put on two LAN events in the first half of this year. PMWI will have two parts: the Main Stage and the After Party Showdown. The Prize Pool for the main stage will be $2 million, and the Prize Pool for the Party Showdown will be $1 million. The BGIS 2021 winner, Team Soul, is now qualified for PMWI 2022: Main Stage. There were also rumors that the winner of the BGMI Showdown would get a particular spot in the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI): Afterparty Showdown, which is set to happen from August 18 to August 20. The teams will be up against the tough competition, just like we saw in the BGMS, which just ended.
