Bennedict Mathurin Test LeBron James: “He’s Going To Have To Show Me He’s Better Than Me.”

Bennedict Mathurin

No one can say that Bennedict Mathurin’s goals are too low as he moves into the NBA. It’s one thing for rookies in the NBA to be sure of their skills. It’s different to compare yourself to one of the best NBA players before you’ve ever played a game.

Even though he was starting, Indiana Pacers rookie Bennedict Mathurin criticized Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James. Mathurin told the Washington Post that James would have to show that he is a better player than him.

If the Pacers got someone better than James with the sixth overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, it could be the best deal in the history of professional sports.

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players of the time, and there’s no doubt he has had an extensive effect on the sports betting sites like in OKBET. Some people think Michael Jordan is the only player who is better than him at all times.

Before returning to his hotel room to finish getting ready for the draft, Mathurin said that his first game against Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was the test he was most looking forward to as a rookie, and it might even be the biggest one.

Bennedict Mathurin to be extra motivated

There must be a reason why so many people say he’s excellent, but Mathurin will only have to face the 38-year-old version of James in December. The problem for the Pacers rookie is that even at this point in his career, LeBron averaged a mind-blowing 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game last year.

“Many people say he’s great,” Bennedict Mathurin said. “I want to see how great LeBron James is. I don’t think anybody is better than me. He will have to show me he’s better than me.”

Bennedict Mathurin was a great college three-point shooter and shot creator. He was also an excellent athlete. But he probably won’t be a better player than LeBron James in his first season in the league. But coming into the company with confidence has never hurt anyone, and we’ll see how Mathurin does against James when they play for the first time next season.

The Indiana Pacers are in a good place when it comes to rebuilding. Tyrese Haliburton and Chris Duarte were already good players, and now Bennedict Mathurin will be able to join them. They are trying to build a core for the future because they believed in trading veteran Myles Turner. Bennedict Mathurin will be a crucial part of their future success, and they hope he will become the star they want.

The NBA schedule for 2022–2023 hasn’t been released yet, so it’s unclear when Mathurin and James will play each other. There’s a good chance that Mathurin’s quote will come up again soon after the match, which probably won’t suit the newcomer.
